- What is the cancellation or transfer policy?
To request a refund or change, please email Impact@shepherds.org before April 14, 2021. The request must be sent by the person whose email appears on the registration.
- Will I have internet?
The campus has free wifi available.
- Will I receive tickets?
When you register you will receive a confirmation email. That email is your receipt and proof of registration. Please bring it with you when you arrive. When you arrive you will be given a name tag which will serve as your conference key to all sessions and exhibits.
- What restaurants are nearby?
There are numerous restaurants in the area.
- Is there childcare available?
There will be free childcare for the evening sessions on Thursday and Friday 6:45-9:15 pm (birth - 5th grade) and the daytime session on Saturday 8:45 - noon (birth - age 5). You will register your children when you purchase your conference ticket. Specific childcare questions can be directed to Holly Brewster at firstname.lastname@example.org. The Great Adventure, on Saturday, will require a separate registration.
There will be a special Great Adventure event for grades K-5th on Saturday morning.
Registration for the free nursery AND the Great Adventure IS required to reserve your child a spot.
There will NOT be childcare provided for the Friday daytime sessions, Saturday afternoon bonus session Impact+ or the Saturday evening Impact+ dinner.
Sunday morning childcare will be provided through church programs.
- What should I wear?
Dress comfortably. We strongly recommend bringing a sweater or light jacket because some of the rooms tend to be cool.
- What is the conference schedule?
A detailed schedule will be posted closer to the event.
Thursday 7 pm - 9:15 pm. Friday 8:00 am - 4pm and 7 pm - 9:15 pm. Saturday 8:00 am - 12:00 pm. Sunday 8:30 am - 12:30 pm. A continental breakfast will be provided on Friday and Saturday at 8 am to eat during the start of the morning session. Breaks will be given for other meals on your own. You must register to attend part or all of the conference, except for regular Sunday services.
Impact+ is a bonus event on Saturday afternoon for ticket holders who have registered for the bonus event. An optional dinner for Impact+ attendees will be held on Saturday night.
- What are the COVID precautions like at the venue?
The Impact Conference will be held entirely on the campus of THE SHEPHERD’S CHURCH. Here is the policy the church implements for gatherings on their grounds:
When you arrive, we have face masks and shields available for everyone 11+. We also practice social distancing when on campus. Whether folks agree with the ordinances of our local government, or the effectiveness of masks, we believe the greater issue is showing deference to one another, as well as honoring our civil leaders as required by Scripture (Romans 13).
- What is the role of Table Talks?
The best learning occurs when people are actively engaged. During the conference, we will be arranging everyone around a table to promote intentional discussions throughout the event.
Table Talks will allow time for:
• Strengthening skills
• Discussing challenges
• Solving problems
• Putting knowledge into context
The presenter is more than just sharing content but providing resource, context, and direction for individual application. In other words, the focus of our sessions will be to help the hearer to become a doer of the Word.
The reason why we believe this aspect of the conference is vital because it provides attenders the opportunity to learn from one another, build a network of accountability, and develop a plan for individual application.
- What will Table Talks look like this year?
• 4- Attenders + 1 Host seated at a round table throughout the conference
• Change seating 2-3 times during the conference to allow for multiple interactions
• 1-2 Pointed discussion questions from the presenters about their topics
• At least one summary point or call-to-action during each allotted Table Talk
- Will there be items to purchase at the conference?
Esteamed Coffee will be selling bags of coffee and items at the conference for cash or check only. We will not be having a book table this year at the conference. Dr. Cropsey has a few books for sale at his table for a donation.
